"You don't know where you are going, if you don't know where you came from, and how you got to where you are!" JB 3:16, 9/99

Fairfax City Fire Dept FF1&2 Class 12/13/08

IT WAS - - - - - COLD!!!
That was the first thing to notice...

On a bright but chilly Saturday, the FF1/2 students hit the drill pad again under Capt. Miller's leadership and help from instructors who also braved the cold and it was hose line deployment to a" working incident" - well, we pretended it was the "big one" - almost...but hard work, LOTS of re-racking, a quick lunch, and back to the drill pad for more of the day's quota of fun!

It won't be long before they have REAL FIRE to put out and find out that is a lot more fun to ride and glide to the scene, pull the  line and attack the "THE BEAR" than it is to rack hose!

Well, the holidays are almost here...but the spirits still burn bright in the hearts of all these newbies...the future protectors...the new generation of soldiers, fighting the worst of battles - trying to save lives from fire, injury, and the new world of the threat of terrorism. With the motto to live by...

"STAY SAFE - EVERYBODY GOES HOME!"
