A Salute to Heroes

Sgt. James B. Anderson II
USAF Nuclear Weapons Specialist
8th Air Force - 509th Bomb Wing
100th Air Division - 41st MMS
(1966-1970)

I sit in my house - a PROUD AMERICAN - I have a family, freedom to work, and play, and live without fear of retaliation from the government, to raise a family and that family to have the freedom to also become educated and to live in freedom.  But as I watch the National Memorial Day Concert from the Capitol in Washington, DC, I cry tears for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for me and all of us to have those freedoms.

I served proudly in the Vietnam era, and remember how people felt and often reflected those feelings against those in the service or returning home - those who felt the war was wrong. But they didn't know the pain we all suffer - losing loved ones, losing best friends, losing teammates, and wishing we could all go home safely.

But I served proudly then, and still serve in a different war - a war on Terrorism - where we lost 343 FDNY Firefighters, 37 Port Authority Police Officers, and 23 NYPD Officers - victims of war - but in our own homeland - They shall ALWAYS be remembered on 9-11 and on 11-11 - Veterans Day - when war casualties and brave soldiers who fight against the ignorance of cowardly terrorists, against enemies of the United States, and against the enemies of other countries - enemies of the countries that also believe FREEDOM is for ALL of us, and against anyone who would try and take away those freedoms from those who believe as we do.

First responders should now be considered soldiers in battle against terrorism, against our enemy fire, and as veteran heroes who also have made the ultimate sacrifice...

The albums below are for viewing with respect and remembrance of all our brothers and sisters lost in these battles...and to recognize the sacrifices made by all of the armed forces, fire/EMS services, and law enforcement services all over our great country and this planet we call Earth.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!

and I can say GOD because I have that right and freedom - as do you - BUT... if YOU don't like it - SHUT UP, GET OUT OF MY FACE, AND QUIT TRYING TO ELIMINATE IT FROM THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS, AND OTHER MONUMENTS TO OUR COUNTRY...

We welcome everyone to America...BUT...

IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR CULTURE and/or YOU CAN'T LIVE WITH IT,
THEN GET OUT OF THIS COUNTRY!

If I offended you, I am just speaking out using a given right by our country's founding fathers; I won't conceal my beliefs.

T
HIS IS AMERICA - Home to the world's Bravest!

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

And Always Remember...

It is the
VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN
, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN
, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN
, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN
, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN
, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN ,
who always salutes the Flag,
