Loudoun County Volunteer Fire Rescue

OPEN HOUSE 2012

MAy 20   --   11am - 4 PM

143 Catoctin Circle SE

The Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad (LCVRS) will hold an OPEN HOUSE on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at the LCVRS building, 143 Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg. The event kicks off EMS Week May 20-26, 2012. EMS Week celebrates and honors the hundreds of thousands of Emergency Medical Responders that serve the communities across our nation 

Displays, special demonstrations, blood drive, apparatus displays, and much more will be there for all to see.

Representatives from Leesburg Police Department, Virginia State Police, Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company, American Red Cross, and other emergency agencies will be on site with lots of information, displays, activities, and materials for every aspect of prevention, handling and responding of emergencies.

Child Safety Seat inspections/installation will be conducted by the Leesburg Police Department, K-9 demonstrations from the Virginia State Police, Blood Drive by the American Red Cross, Fire Safety Magic shows, the “Amazing Rescue Race”, ARGO Amphibious vehicle rides, CPR demonstrations/videos, child Identification kits, raffles and prizes throughout the day, and the 911 emergency calls simulator –learn how to call 911!

The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company lost our friend, Frank Raflo in 2009,  but his legendary writings on LVFC and it's history will remain posted here with his permission. Frank Raflo, was a writer, politician, historian, publisher, business owner, father, husband, and most of all, a friend to many, many people.  He will be missed!

Yesterday, we welcomed another hero home, Capt. Michael Quin. I got on this site today, to remember the day my son came home. Thank you so much for posting Stephan's return and his funeral at Arlington. It gives me comfort to look at these pictures and know that so many care.
